A very interesting Añejo – one that starts with tropical aromas of coconut and ripe pineapple when the bottle is popped open. Upon pouring, those aromas mix with more typical agave and citrus notes. The palate emphasizes the wood tones as you would expect a fine Añejo, but they don’t wipe away all of the piña charm that made you love tequila in the first place. It’s an excellent sipper, and will add a dimension to a Paloma or a Tequila Daisy. A very solid offering, and a Platinum Award winner at the 2022 San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge.
