You don’t have to be a ladies’ man to enjoy this fine cognac, but you’ll see why Tim Meadow’s famed SNL character was a big fan from the first nosing. The aromatic profile leans more toasty than sweet, as it should at this grade, with notes of apple and cherry. The palate delivers on the promise, with richness tempered by bright spirit and wood spice tones. It finishes long and fully integrated with a clean vibe that keeps it from becoming ponderous. As they approach their 200th anniversary, they continue to do things right. A Platinum Award winner at the 2024 San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge. 94
