Just because a product says that it is “ready to drink” doesn’t mean that you should. I “get” to taste a lot of these sorts of things, and the ones that I can recommend seem to be few and far between. This is my first experience with the On The Rocks brand, and if its quality is indicative of the lineup, you’ve got a go to brand that delivers genuine cocktail character. This Aviation is spot on, delivering a layered, complex cocktail that’s properly potent and not being masked by sugar or carbonation. Juniper, cherry, lemon and Violette are all present. It’s a pleasure to drink, and when you’re on the road (as I was when giving this a spin) and don’t want to empty your wallet on individual ingredients that you can’t put in your carry on bag, this does a great job.
