When looking at an extra Añejo what you’re always looking for is the remnant of blue agave. Cierto offers you noticeable blue agave but still expresses itself with the wood aging as a partner. There is a smoky wood element to this, but there was also the herbal notes and pepper necessary for blue agave, along with the resin and a very smooth viscosity. Additionally you’ll find caramel, browned butter and honey suckle notes making this not only an ideal sipper but a tequila that succeeds where other tequilas of this style fail.
