I’m the first to admit that I have a strong preference for unwooded, or “blanco” Tequila, but once in a while I run across a wooded version that strikes all the right chords. Such is the case with this Reposado, where layered aromas of agave, citrus, pepper and vanilla entice, leading to a seductive palate where the nose elements are delivered as promised on a viscous midpalate texture that leads to a bright finish with good push and full integrity. Classy stuff! A Platinum Award winner at the 2022 Critics Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition.
