You’ll want to approach this fine Añejo the way you’d approach a glass of fine wine when tasting. The initial, pre-agitation aromatics will remind you of marzipan or toasted marshmallow, with the agave letting itself be known after a good swirl. You might be led to expect a sweet palate, but the switch is in, with subtle vanilla and spice joining rich agave flavors. It lingers pleasantly with good interplay of the elements. Certainly sipworthy – not for cocktailing. Aged one year in Kentucky Bourbon barrels. A Platinum Award winner at the 2024 Distillers Challenge International Spirits Competition. 94
