Here’s something unique in Bourbon world. The distiller took some used bourbon barrels and cut them into cubes that were then soaked in Burleson’s Texas Wildflower Honey. Those cubes were then put into a stainless steel tank to infuse into the Bourbon. The result is a fine-tuned whiskey with a dash of honeyed sweetness. A nicely chosen Rye content keeps things spicy, making the rich toffee and honey character sing. It may not be for purists, but it’ll certainly get the attention of folks who are new to the category. Well done. A Platinum Award winner at the 2023 Critics Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition. 94
