Earl Stevens (aka old school rapper E40) Selections brings us this eight botanical dry gin that’s suitable for cocktailing or for solo sipping. I’d lean toward the latter here, as the complexity is something you’ll want to get all the way into. It’s grain based and juniper forward as a proper dry should be, but there’s plenty of complementary citrus and floral character followed up by a peppery note. I love the balance here – there’s no burn at all, and it’s viscous without being oily. The label says “chill with a Kuiper Belt over ice” and that’s a great recommendation. It’s also great in a Martini with just a whisper of vermouth and a lemon twist. A Platinum Award winner at the 2023 Sommelier Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition. 95
