This “Edition” – Blend No. 032 in the Master Blend line – is more spice focused than previous batches that I’ve tasted. That’s not good, bad or indifferent, it’s just different, and the blender here wisely decided that this had enough unique character to merit its own bottling. Dill and caramel notes are well folded aromatically, and they transfer well to the palate under layers of brown spice and Saigon cinnamon. There’s a pleasant bite of heat on the finish that keeps the spice coming. As I’ve said before, every batch is a little different, but from what I’ve tasted you can expect high quality every time.
